House Rules
Hello and a warm welcome to the Red Kite Resort – right in the heart of the beautiful Rostock Heath!
Our holiday homes are meant to feel like a home away from home – just with a little more forest, sea air and relaxation. To make sure all our guests feel completely at ease, we kindly ask you to follow a few simple rules.
In short: Treat it the way you would want your own home to be treated – just with a Baltic Sea breeze.
General Information
We have put a lot of care and passion into the furnishings and equipment of our homes – so please treat everything with care. If something is missing, not working properly or gets damaged, just give us a quick call and we will take care of it – no fuss, no drama.
Arrival & Departure
Arrival: as stated in your booking confirmation
Departure: please by 11:00 a.m.
When leaving, we kindly ask you to leave the house broom-clean. This means:
- Give the floors a quick vacuum
- Dispose of your rubbish
- Please leave the dishes clean or in the dishwasher with a cycle running
- Close the windows, switch off the lights and close the door – and that’s it. This way, the next guests can enjoy arriving just as much as you did.
Final cleaning is included in the accommodation price and covers the standard cleaning of a holiday home that has been left broom-clean. If the holiday home is left heavily soiled, exceptionally untidy or not broom-clean, we reserve the right to charge separately for any additional cleaning required. Additional cleaning will be charged at €60 per hour, excluding VAT.
Non-Smoking Homes
Our homes are non-smoking – both indoors and at open windows. Please make sure cigarette butts are completely extinguished before disposing of them in the rubbish or in the ashtrays provided, and never throw them into the surrounding nature. After all, the countryside likes its fresh air just as much as we do.
Pets
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at the Red Kite Resort.
Peace & Consideration
We all love nature – and its peace and quiet. We therefore ask you to observe quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., so that guests, deer and red kites alike can enjoy a good night’s sleep.
Cleanliness & Care
Little accidents happen – no problem! Please clean them up as best you can and let us know, so the next guest is not in for a surprise. And remember: water, electricity and heating are a little like Baltic Sea sand – there is plenty around, but it is still better not to waste it.
Waste & Drains
Please separate your waste (general waste, paper, packaging and glass) – you will find the appropriate bins by the house. Waste, grease and other liquids must not be disposed of in the sink, shower or toilet – otherwise the pipes may become blocked, and nobody enjoys that.
Heating & Fireplace
Please air the house regularly, especially after showering – ideally by opening the windows fully for 5–10 minutes.
The fireplace may only be used after approval from our team – otherwise things might heat up a little faster than we would like.
Wi-Fi & Technology
Our Wi-Fi is free of charge – simply log in, connect and relax. The network is called Red-Kite-Resort, password: Resort25. You use the internet at your own responsibility – please avoid any questionable or illegal downloads.
Parking
You may park your car directly by the house. We accept no liability for vehicles or their contents – but fortunately, things here in the heath are usually as peaceful as the sea on a calm day.
Access Code & Security
You will receive your own personal access code for the Red Kite Resort.
To open the front door:
- Enter your code using the keypad next to the front door.
- Then confirm by pressing the ✓ button.
To lock the door:
- From inside: simply press the lock button or turn the knob.
- From outside: press and hold the ✓ button for approximately 3 seconds.
When leaving the house, please close all doors and windows so that wind, weather – or the occasional raccoon – cannot come in for a visit.
If Something Gets Damaged
Nobody does it on purpose. But please let us know if something gets damaged, so we can repair it before the next guest has an unexpected “Oh!” moment.
